A Shared Value Proposition for Future Flemingsberg

We are creating a shared value proposition for Flemingsberg in collaboration with Huddinge and Botkyrka municipalities, supported by Fabege, Hemsö, and the Clara Foundation. This joint initiative has been developed in consultation with the communication agency Gullers Grupp and is a result of the initiative from the Flemingsberg Science Foundation.

The idea of forming this shared value proposition arose from the insight that a united front can accelerate the rate of establishment in Flemingsberg while providing all involved parties with a common foundation when discussing Flemingsberg. Despite multiple actors striving toward the same goals, the acknowledgment of the importance of a shared message to highlight Flemingsberg’s potential and attractiveness was crucial.

“It’s largely about creating more job opportunities, and therefore, it’s incredibly important that several actors come together and do this because we become stronger together.” – Pia Forsberg, Business Director at Huddinge Municipality

An Attractive Meeting Place and Knowledge Hub
Flemingsberg has transformed into a central hub for knowledge and innovation in the region. Various actors with diverse interests collaborate to collectively contribute to the area’s development as an attractive meeting place and knowledge hub. The goal of the value proposition is to attract more business entities, restaurants, and offerings to, in turn, draw in students, workers, and residents. This strategic approach aims to secure the crucial role of competence supply in the area.

“We have some operational land for Life Science in the area, and for us, it was obvious to be part of this work; so much is happening in Flemingsberg right now.”– Martin Andaloussi, Business Director at Botkyrka Municipality

A Shared Vision
More concretely, the work involves creating a value proposition as a cohesive presentation package that inspires use. It will include descriptions in various formats, such as elevator pitches, half-hour presentations, and a more extensive presentation. The effort will also result in a roadmap, outlining a clear plan for anchoring and disseminating the shared value proposition. In summary, this initiative is about all actors using the same presentation and having a clear, shared vision while working towards making Flemingsberg one of Sweden’s most significant centers for education, research, and creativity by 2050.
