The Sustainable Societies of the Future: Social Capital, Green Transition, and the Power of Communities

We share our insights from two intensive days in Luleå focused on green industrial transformation, the significance and growth potential of the gaming industry, and how to build relationship-driven communities. We return to Flemingsberg with a continued strong belief in the immense potential of collaboration and cooperation.

At the Flemingsberg Science Foundation, we continue to work together to learn more about building the society of the future by leveraging the unique strengths that already exist. The study visit was organized by Luleå Science Park, one of Sweden’s largest technology parks, with a focus on knowledge, technology, people, and creativity.

“We believe in the synergy that arises when knowledge and experiences are shared with one another. In our collaboration with Flemingsberg Science, we embrace a non-hierarchical openness, inspiring each other while also exploring how we can create national partnerships. During these days in Luleå, we’ve had the opportunity to showcase what is happening in Norrbotten.”  Annica Von Ahn, Luleå Science Park

During these days, we met representatives from Arctic Game, Luleå Municipality’s business office, and Hej Främling. While the green industrial transformation shines brightly in the north, we also gained insights into significant investments in the development of the tech and gaming industries, where gaming has become one of Northern Europe’s fastest-growing ecosystems.

“During our visit to Luleå Science Park, we were inspired by their innovative environment and successful collaboration models. We look forward to exploring joint projects and creating synergies, particularly within the gaming industry but also around community development, which can strengthen our respective ecosystems.” – Pernilla Boström, Flemingsberg Science Foundation.

Flemingsberg Science Foundation Summer Party 2025 – What’s Happening in Flemingsberg?

Business leaders, municipal and regional representatives, academia, and students came together under the theme “What’s Happening in Flemingsberg?” – an evening dedicated to sharing the latest developments: new establishments, initiatives, innovations, and future plans in Flemingsberg.
