Now you as a student, worker and resident in Flemingsberg can compete with your business idea. In a sub-competition to the national business plan competition Venture Cup, Flemingsberg Science rewards ideas that contribute to a better world.
Flemingsberg Science works for the development of the knowledge-based ecosystem in Flemingsberg, where an important component is more and growing companies. To draw attention to and stimulate competitors from Flemingsberg, Flemingsberg Science has chosen to create a business plan competition in collaboration with the Venture Cup: the Flemingsberg Science Award. By collaborating with Venture Cup, we believe that we can get many students, workers and residents in Flemingsberg to take the step and develop their business concept – which may change the world.

Venture Cup IDEA
Do you have a business idea you want to realize? Submit your idea in Venture Cup competition IDEA. By participating and competing you are guaranteed feedback from their professional network, the opportunity to create new contact areas and your idea also has the chance to be titled as one of Sweden’s 20 best business ideas. The competition is open between September 13th and November 11th.
All ideas are welcome to participate in the Venture Cup IDEA as long as you compete with your own idea and the turnover is still below SEK 100,000 (external equity is included).
Flemingsberg Science Award – IDEA
Flemingsberg Science awards the Flemingsberg Science Award – IDEA, which focuses on ideas in the early stages. The prize money of SEK 5,000 is awarded a winner connected to the Flemingsberg area.

Venture Cup STARTUP
STARTUP is the competition for you who want to test if your business idea has what it takes to become Venture Cups Startup of the Year.
All ideas are welcome to participate in Venture Cup STARTUP as long as you compete with your own idea and the turnover and external equity is below SEK 1,000,000 at the time you submit to the competition. After that, we of course welcome you to continue working with the business idea, sales and any investments.
Flemingsberg Science Award – STARTUP
Flemingsbergs Science Award – For startups with a clear connection to Flemingsberg, either as a student, resident or otherwise active in the area. 1 winner in region east is chosen. In addition to the prize money of SEK 10,000, the winner also gets a free place for three months in Flemingsbergs Sciences’ innovation environment.

Venture Cup – the competition for tomorrow’s entrepreneurs
Venture Cup was launched in 1998 to support growth in Sweden. Since then, the concept has grown to include a successful process where participants are helped to develop their business ideas for tomorrow’s companies. Knowledgeable industry experts engage non-profit by providing feedback and development tips on all ideas submitted. Welcome to Flemingsberg Pitch Workshop
Together with Venture Cup, one of Sweden’s leading platforms for startups and business ideas, Flemingsberg Science Foundation welcomes you to a workshop that will help you create a compelling and engaging pitch to take your startup or idea to the next level. During this highly interactive session Malcolm Larri, coach and pitch expert, will teach you the fundamental building blocks of creating an effective pitch, Venture Cup style. You will also receive feedback on the pitches you create.
Irma Alert and The Digital Immune System: Winners of the Flemingsberg Science Award STARTUP 2024
Sweden's children and youth are not doing well. Mental health issues, increasing neuropsychiatric disorders, and sociocultural confusion, partly caused by social media, are on the rise. As a result, the level of knowledge among young people is declining, with reading comprehension and mathematics being particularly problematic areas. Irma Alert, the winner of the Flemingsberg Science Award, wants to change this.
