The Park Novum inaugurated!

On November 5, the doors to The Park Novum opened – a new co-working space in Novum Research Park. The festivities came with a Halloween theme, and gathered over 150 participants who celebrated together.

The inauguration marks the beginning of a unique collaboration. The Park Novum offers flexible workspaces, meeting rooms, events, and a vibrant community – right next door to the already established Novum Labs, which provides access to advanced instruments and flexible laboratory environments. During the evening, a symbolic ribbon was tied between representatives from Hemsö, The Park, Huddinge Municipality, Stockholm Business Region, and Flemingsberg Science Foundation.

“I see a bright future when I look out over all of you,” said Staffan Ingvarsson, CEO of Stockholm Business Region, emphasizing both Flemingsberg’s potential to attract international talent and the Stockholm–Uppsala region’s goal to become a leading life science cluster.

A contributing factor to the establishment of The Park is Flemingsberg Science Foundation’s ERDF project, which aims to strengthen the growth and establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises within the life science sector.

“We are proud and happy to welcome The Park to Flemingsberg. They are an important partner in our ongoing work to create attractive innovation environments and meeting places that can strengthen both the opportunities and community within our ever-growing life science cluster,” says Natasha Bank, Cluster Manager at Flemingsberg Science Foundation.

Mikael Ahlström, CEO of The Park, shared the typically Swedish way in which the collaboration with property owner Hemsö began – over a Swedish fika. Anders Lövefors, project developer at Hemsö, in turn highlighted how Novum Research Park is more than just a place.

And indeed,Novum Research Parkis more than just a place – here, both heart and mind come together to make a difference. AtFlemingsberg Science Foundation, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in the inauguration and showed thatFlemingsberg is no longer just a place along the way, but a place on its way!

Steps shaping innovation and growth – Natasha Bank sums up the first year of Life Science Cluster Flemingsberg

A future life science cluster isn’t built in a year – but with a solid foundation and the courage to act, important steps can be taken along the way. In February 2025, we launched Life Science Cluster Flemingsberg: a multifaceted project with powerful, interconnected ambitions – to enable Flemingsberg’s life science cluster to reach its full potential by collaboration and creating the right conditions for the establishment and growth of those who drive innovation – small and medium-sized enterprises – and, in doing so, contribute to the Stockholm region’s leading position within the sector.
