Flemingsberg Brought Color to Nordic Life Science Days

Flemingsberg is a place where research and progress never sleep. A place where someone is always working on a solution. During Nordic Life Science Days in Gothenburg, Flemingsberg stood out from afar with an orange booth that, just like Flemingsberg itself, was full of surprises, experiences, and served as an excellent meeting spot for life science enthusiasts.

Nordic Life Science Days is a leading Nordic partnering event for the life science industry, bringing together decision-makers from biotech, medtech, pharmaceuticals, finance, and research since 2013.

“Nordic Life Science Days was a fantastic opportunity for both Flemingsberg’s Establishment Office and our Life Science team to jointly showcase Flemingsberg as a strong life science hub, unite around the Flemingsberg brand, and make valuable new connections.”
– Pernilla Boström, COO, Flemingsberg Science Foundation

In Flemingsberg, companies, people, and forward-thinking innovations come together to form a thriving ecosystem. During Nordic Life Science Days, Flemingsberg Science Foundation, Hemsö, and Fabege joined forces to highlight this ecosystem and the unique opportunities the area has to offer.

“Flemingsberg truly stood out during the event. Being able to showcase ourselves together under one umbrella made it easier to attract interest, sparked new conversations, and hopefully drew more actors to Flemingsberg.” says Anders Lövefors, Project Developer at Hemsö

After 1,345 cups of coffee, nearly a hundred selfies in the photo booth, and just as many quiz participants, we returned to Flemingsberg with renewed energy, new connections, and even greater inspiration to keep driving progress forward.

New Silicon Valley Hub for Press Start Flemingsberg

Press Start, a GameTech initiative based in Flemingsberg, is expanding its international reach by establishing a presence and building new connections in Silicon Valley. This development is made possible primarily through our Cluster Manager, Leslie Alfredsson, who has been admitted to study at Stanford University this summer.

Can games change how we understand mental illness in young people?

What if a game could help young people understand why they feel unwell? That was the idea that sparked something in Lars Klintwall, a child psychologist at BUP and associate professor at Karolinska Institutet. By combining psychology and games, he wants to shift the focus from diagnoses to the individual’s unique network of problems, and give patients tools to recognize how negative spirals emerge.
