It’s official – Alfa Laval has opened its new premises in Flemingsberg!

The new 8,000 m² innovation center brings together 700 experts who push the boundaries of future solutions in energy, food, pharma and marine transport every day. An investment that truly shows how important Swedish industrial expertise, open collaborations and continued R&D are – not only for Alfa Laval, but for the whole of Europe.

And yes, you can now find them on Separatorvägen, a street that was recently renamed specifically to welcome Alfa Laval to the area. That’s how we do it in Flemingsberg. The building rises as a new, clear presence in the area and becomes a natural part of Flemingsberg’s growing skyline.

The innovation center was opened by Alfa Laval’s President and CEO Tom Erixon together with Sweden’s Minister for EU Affairs Jessica Rosencrantz.

We wish Alfa Laval a warm welcome to Flemingsberg!

Did you know that Alfa Laval also operates within life science? At their Flemingsberg site, the company develops and supplies advanced separation and fluid-handling technologies — including centrifuge separators and hygienic processing solutions — designed for demanding applications in both life-science (biotech, pharmaceuticals) and Food & Water (food processing, water treatment) sectors.

Meetings That Shape the Future: Flemingsberg Science at Almedalen

In June this year, the foundation took part in the annual Almedalen Week, the world’s largest democratic meeting place for everyone who wants to join the discussions on current societal issues. This year, we had a special focus on Life Science, an area and cluster that has long been a natural part of Flemingsberg, and which is now growing stronger than ever.

Meet us at NLSDays

In the south of Stockholm you’ll find Flemingsberg, home to a vibrant life science cluster that’s rapidly emerging as an attractive location for life science companies. Here, academia, business and society form a dynamic ecosystem, fueling innovation and growth. And with more companies establishing and collaborations further deepening, the opportunity to expand and invest have never been greater. This year, we are therefore participating in NLSDays in Gothenburg, where we will showcase Flemingsberg's unique strengths and invite more stakeholders to become part of our thriving life science environment.

Novum – More Than a Place

The Park and the real estate company Hemsö have entered into a collaboration which means Novum Research Park in Flemingsberg will offer a first-class coworking environment for researchers, innovators, and creative minds who want to become part of a growing Life Science cluster. At the same time, the Flemingsberg Science Foundation is launching a film about Novum—playful and with a touch of drama.
