The Flemingsberg Science Foundation welcomes Leslie Alfredsson as Head of Press Start and Cluster Manager in game tech

Leslie Alfredsson is an entrepreneur, innovation strategist, and game developer who is now set to take Press Start Game Hub to new heights. We are pleased to welcome Leslie as Head of Press Start, where she will continue to lead the gaming initiative that has, in a short time, established itself as a dynamic meeting place for students, researchers, and creators.

With experience coaching thousands of entrepreneurs in university and incubator environments, Leslie Alfredsson brings a strong background in building and developing startups and creative ecosystems. She has previously founded and led projects within areas such as health tech and games, and has worked with emerging technologies including AI and augmented reality.

“I thrive at the intersection of academia, industry, and society, and I am driven by creating structures that make it easier for people and ideas to grow into real, measurable impact.”

In five years, Leslie hopes that Press Start will be a natural driving force for Swedish and Nordic game development and game tech. A place where students move from idea to studio, where researchers and companies build solutions that become new products and businesses, and where creators find the right context to scale their ambitions.

“I am passionate about building places where people can become the best version of themselves—where creativity, competence, and courage are given space to grow. Game development and game tech are a perfect arena for this, as they unite technology, culture, entrepreneurship, and global markets in a way few other industries do.”

For Flemingsberg, this represents a clear strengthening of the area’s identity as a knowledge city with energy, creativity, and a belief in the future, while also making an important contribution to Stockholm as a leading region for both games and game tech. A strong cluster creates new companies, more jobs, increased internationalization, and a compelling reason for talent to both come here and stay.

Flemingsberg is Growing – A Sustainable and Attractive Neighbourhood in the Making

Flemingsberg is currently undergoing a phase of rapid development, where new rental housing and apartments are helping to strengthen the area’s attractiveness as a residential, education and research hub in southern Greater Stockholm. The expansion of housing is an important part of the long-term development of Campus Flemingsberg and the surrounding area.
