Life Science Fair Flemingsberg – With a Spotlight on MedTech

In February, over 250 engaged participants, leading voices from the ecosystem, and outstanding exhibitors gathered at Novum Research Park for a full day with a focus on MedTech. The result? A day filled with knowledge, ideas, and new connections where the importance of MedTech for healthcare, competitiveness, and society was at the center – and where Flemingsberg showed itself at its best as a meeting place for Life Science.

With a packed program, the day tackled the question of how innovation can make the full journey from idea to patient benefit. From the stage, we experienced presentations that wove together perspectives from research, healthcare, industry, and capital into a clear and comprehensive picture. Discussions ranged from a system level – how our healthcare system is designed and how we can shift toward even more health-promoting approaches – to concrete company building, where the interplay between scientific excellence and entrepreneurial experience was highlighted as a crucial success factor. It also became clear that product development, regulatory strategies, and market preparation must go hand in hand, and that standards and early regulatory choices can serve as strategic tools rather than obstacles.

We also got to see groundbreaking solutions – from precision sampling via fingerstick to minimally invasive catheter technology, as well as research in advanced modeling, sports technology, and digital solutions for a more sustainable working life. MedTech was also placed in a broader context, where Sweden’s unique strength became clear: the entire value chain is present here, with the potential to lead development.

Through the Life Science Cluster Flemingsberg project, we aim to create vibrant meeting places where industry, academia, and healthcare can come together to accelerate innovation and strengthen the ecosystem. Life Science Fair Flemingsberg is an example of that, and MedTech Day became a strong demonstration of the power that comes with bringing people, ideas, and expertise together in the same room.

A warm thank you to all participants, speakers, and exhibitors who contributed to the day – and a special thanks to MedTech4Health for support through MedTech Year 2026!

A Growing Arts and Cultural Scene in Flemingsberg

As Flemingsberg transforms into a city, a vibrant and dynamic arts and cultural scene is essential.
