Flemingsberg Science Award STARTUP open for contestants

STARTUP is a competition for startups with a clear connection to Flemingsberg, either as students, residents or otherwise active in the area.

In addition to the prize money of SEK 10,000, the winner will also have a free place for three months in Flemingsbergs Sciences’ innovation environment. Deadline for participation is April 5.

All ideas are welcome to participate in STARTUP as long as you compete with your own idea and the turnover and external equity is below SEK 1,000,000 at the time you submit to the competition. After that, we of course welcome you to continue working with the business idea, sales and any investments.

More information and registration.

The Flemingsberg Science Award is a sub-competition to the national business plan competition Venture Cup. Venture Cup was launched in 1998 to support growth in Sweden. Since then, the concept has grown to include a successful process where participants receive help to develop their business ideas for tomorrow’s companies. Knowledgeable industry experts engage non-profit by providing feedback and development tips on all ideas submitted. In addition, the organization offers inspiration, training, guidance and the opportunity to create a solid network.

The emergence of a new ecosystem

Campus Flemingsberg boasts a highly robust ecosystem in the field of Life Science, characterized by world-class education, research, and entrepreneurship, with Karolinska University Hospital serving as a central hub. The foundation plays a vital role in promoting the visibility of this ecosystem, ensuring its continuous development and facilitating new establishments.

Doors open for creativity and culture

Innovation Station is the new co-working space in Flemingsberg that invites you to more creative meetings. “We saw a growing need for a meeting place for more than just life science activities. So, together with Flemingsberg Science and others, we have opened a broader co-working space that caters to cultural activities and creative industries,” says Johan Bornebusch, Innovation Manager and tutor at Södertörn University.
