Huge Becomes an Associated Partner of the Flemingsberg Science Foundation

The Flemingsberg Science Foundation announces today that the property company Huge is becoming an associated partner of the foundation. Through this partnership, Huge aligns with the foundation’s purposes and goals.

“It is extremely gratifying that Huge is now joining as an associated partner to the foundation. Huge, with both residential, student housing, and commercial premises in Flemingsberg, plays a very important role in an attractive Flemingsberg both today and in the future. Knowing that we can bring together Huge, Hemsö, and Fabege along with Botkyrka and Huddinge municipalities this autumn to accelerate the establishment work makes me both proud and grateful,” says Johnny Högberg, CEO of the Flemingsberg Science Foundation.

In the foundation’s strategic plan for the period 2022-2025, the importance of attracting new partners and stakeholders who share our vision and see the value in investing in both the foundation’s operations and Flemingsberg’s site development is emphasized. Partnerships like these are thus crucial for Flemingsberg’s progress and the pace of its continued development.

“Huge Bostäder owns a large property portfolio in Flemingsberg, which we are reinvesting heavily in over a ten-year period. Additionally, we are now building Studenten 1, comprising 210 rental apartments, five retail spaces, and a large preschool. The main focus of the partnership will be in line with the foundation’s goal of making Flemingsberg the first choice for establishments in southern Stockholm. Through this partnership, we open up new opportunities to drive projects and initiatives in areas such as site development, packaging, and marketing of Flemingsberg. Additionally, the inclusion of associate partners means an increase in diversity and expertise within the foundation. We continue to actively work to strengthen our partnership with more actors who share our vision of investing in both Flemingsberg’s operations and its future development.

Cluster Engine Flemingsberg – ERDF Project for Growth in Life Science

Flemingsberg is taking a significant step towards establishing itself as a central player in Life Science with the launch of the “Cluster Engine Life Science Flemingsberg” project. The project has been granted funding from the European Regional Development Fund and aims to strengthen the growth and establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the life science sector in the Stockholm region. The total project budget is €10.8 million for the years 2025–2027.

BioLamina Establishes Operations in Flemingsberg – A Key Player in ATMP Development

As the world’s first and only producer of laminins, the biotechnology company BioLamina has expanded its operations and chosen to establish part of its business in Flemingsberg. Using laminins, a protein that creates an optimal environment for cells to expand and/or differentiate, they are a key player in the development of ATMPs (Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products) in Sweden and globally.
