On stage this week: CCRM Nordic
This week, CCRM Nordic, in collaboration with ACROBiosystems, will introduce us to how CAR-T cells – the most advanced ATMP modality with promising therapeutic results in both cancer and autoimmune disease indications – can be assessed in a more consistent and reproducible manner.
Pedro Velica and Edin Dilovic will discuss how CAR-T potency is currently commonly evaluated by co-culturing CAR-T cells with target cell lines expressing the CAR antigen, and how the inherent variability associated with the selection and handling of these cell lines can impact CAR-T cell activation and lead to inconsistent potency readouts. They will also introduce us to ActiveMax µBeads – a cell-free, off-the-shelf tool that enables consistent measurement of CAR-T cell activation with performance comparable to that achieved using target cell lines.
