The new 8,000 m² innovation center brings together 700 experts who push the boundaries of future solutions in energy, food, pharma and marine transport every day. An investment that truly shows how important Swedish industrial expertise, open collaborations and continued R&D are – not only for Alfa Laval, but for the whole of Europe.
At the foundation, we are actively working to strengthen Flemingsberg by fostering partnerships with organizations that share our vision of investing in the area’s operations and future growth. We firmly believe that the more we unite, the stronger we become. That’s why we’ve introduced two types of partnerships, each with its own purpose and function.
Earlier this year, our CEO Johnny Högberg visited Milan together with the Mälardal Council, where they witnessed examples of how the city and region have worked with successful innovation areas such as the Milano Innovation District (MIND) and other industrial clusters. Subsequently, on April 26th, the Mälardal Council's triple helix network, the Greater Stockholm Network, held its networking meeting at Innovation Station Flemingsberg. It was an opportunity to discuss the lessons learned from the trip to Milan and the network's ongoing work to strengthen the Stockholm-Mälaren region. Johnny Högberg shares his insights.

New year - new plans The year is coming [...]
Since the Covid outbreak, our work has been characterised by video meetings, especially in our various focus groups. Success has exceeded expectations, thanks to the fact that the approximately 70 people who are involved in the groups had time to get to know one other and the issues even before the pandemic. But we are really looking forward to being able to meet again IRL, and hopefully soon – it is so much more enjoyable!
Kungliga Operan AB and Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern AB have signed an agreement with Fabege to relocate their operations to Flemingsberg.
