Rapid re-think ensures digital open day success
This was the first year a joint open day could be held for all courses at Campus Flemingsberg. But as the corona crisis hit, six months’ preparation was on the line. However, digital solutions offered an alternative.
Good collaboration paves the way for rapid development of Flemingsbergsdalen
The Flemingsbergsdalen development program creates the necessary conditions needed for thousands of new jobs, homes, business opportunities, entertainment and services. Building work on the Royal Swedish Opera and the Royal Dramatic Theatre’s new production center will begin in 2022.
University places increased in record time
KTH is one of the universities set to receive government support in the wake of the corona crisis. Around an additional 700 places in foundation technology courses at KTH Royal Institute of Technology will make it easier for more people to retrain. Resources will also be allocated to establish more permanent course places.
Higher education conference NU2020 to take place digitally at Campus Flemingsberg
Sweden’s largest meeting place for higher education training and development will this year be held at Campus Flemingsberg. And like so many other events this year, NU2020 is taking to the digital arena.
Prejudice-free recruitment wins Södertörn Social Cup
This year’s winner of the Södertörn Social Cup startup competition was recruitment service Rektra, which uses AI to make recruitment fairer and more efficient.
Stockholm Life Tech gets full funding
Stockholm Life Tech is awarded over SEK 16 million from the European Regional Development Fund. The project is run by Region Stockholm and will enable advanced development and production environments in Flemingsberg to be opened to small and medium-sized companies.

📣24 hours before my new adventure at Stanford University begins, and this is how we wrap up before I go. 🥳With huge news from Press Start Game Tech Hub.
A total of SEK 11.5 million is now being invested in the development of Press Start GameTech Hub, an initiative created to strengthen the GameTech sector in the Stockholm region.
The project is led by Flemingsberg Science Foundation and Södertörn University, and will run from September 2026 to 2029.
I could not be prouder of how far Press Start has come in such a short time.
I was given the honor and the mission to found Press Start, and seeing it grow from an idea into one of Europe’s fastest-growing GameTech hubs has been one of the most meaningful journeys of my career.
And now, we are taking the next step.
Press Start now also has a GameTech Node in Silicon Valley, creating new opportunities to build bridges between Stockholm, Sweden, and one of the world’s most influential innovation ecosystems.
All with one clear goal:
To strengthen, support, and create real opportunities for our GameTech community in Stockholm.
What a way to close this chapter before Stanford.
And what a beginning for everything that comes next. 🙌
