TAKE YOUR IDEA TO THE NEXT LEVEL: Flemingsberg Science Award IDEA 2023 is now open for registration

It’s finally time for the annual competition Flemingsberg Science Award IDEA. The goal is to attract innovators from Flemingsberg, helping them take the step towards realizing their visions while also participating in shaping the businesses of the future.

“We want to provide special support to ideas from Flemingsberg, we have therefor introduced a special prize with a smaller cash award, as well as the opportunity to access our innovation hub, Innovation Station Flemingsberg, for one month” – says Johnny Högberg, CEO of Flemingsberg Science.

Flemingsberg Science Award IDEA is a sub-competition of the national business plan competition Venture Cup, made for students, professionals, and people living in Flemingsberg. By participating in the competition, you have the opportunity to test your business idea with experienced experts. This could be the first step in turning your vision into reality and shaping the businesses of the future. The winner will receive a prize of 5000 SEK and access to the Coworking environment, Innovation Station Flemingsberg, at Campus Flemingsberg for one month.

Campus Day sparks new co-operation across borders

The autumn term at Campus Flemingsberg kicked off with the now traditional Campus Day. The event brings together students from all the colleges and universities in Flemingsberg to get to know one another and get advice on everything from student wellbeing to future career paths, as well as competing for a free lunch in the autumn sunshine.

When the founders of Joyship were looking for a place to develop their meeting app, they found exactly what they were looking for at Flemingsberg Science. Office space at the heart of Campus Flemingsberg not only offered a quiet workplace – it also provided access to an extensive contact network.

Fresh start for flooring that reduces fall injuries

A new flooring technology can drastically reduce fall injuries among the elderly. Rubber spikes activate in the event of a sudden impact and can prevent, for example, femoral fractures. The technology is based on KTH research and was initially developed with the support of the Kraftcentrum Flemingsberg program.
