We are most effective and make the greatest impact when we engage our founders and leverage their size, organizations, and influence, and we still strongly believe in this. At the same time, the fact that we have grown as an organization has also made a difference. Today, we are exactly the kind of “two-pizza team” that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos highlights as the most effective. Among other things, we are now running two cluster initiatives and creating a level of engagement, buzz, and content that is noticeable in Flemingsberg and is actually helping to change the area.

DreamHack Stockholm is not just a festival. It is one of the few occasions in Sweden where audiences, creators, and the industry move within the same space at the same time. In 2025, DreamHack set a new attendance record with over 60,000 visitors at Stockholmsmässan in Älvsjö, with attendees coming from 70 countries. This year, Press Start Game Hub, the game initiative based in Flemingsberg, took part.

We are pleased to welcome Leslie as Head of Press Start, where she will continue to lead the gaming initiative that has, in a short time, established itself as a dynamic meeting place for students, researchers, and creators.

She envisions a vibrant area full of culture, evening and nightlife, and a natural meeting place for both students and creators. But when the goal feels far away, it’s about starting where you are — creating life and activity here and now, and above all, building on the stories that already exist, allowing the place to grow into its future.

During Nordic Life Science Days in Gothenburg, Flemingsberg stood out from afar — with an orange booth that, just like Flemingsberg itself, was full of surprises, experiences, and served as an excellent meeting spot for life science enthusiasts.

Three days with the spotlight on Sweden’s innovation scene at Science Week x Sweden Innovation Parliament. Here, leading voices came together to explore solutions that build resilient societies, support sustainable industrial production, and secure the skills supply of the future. Flemingsberg Science Foundation was on site to talk about Stockholm’s competitiveness, how to attract new talent to Sweden, and what we as innovation nodes can do to strengthen Sweden’s innovation ecosystem as a whole.

A delegation of investors from some of South Korea’s leading game companies visited Press Start Game Hub in Flemingsberg yesterday, a growing hub for game innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe. The visit was part of an initiative organized by Business Sweden, aimed at strengthening ties between the Swedish and South Korean gaming industries.
