The pre-GMP laboratory at Karolinska Institutet gives companies the opportunity to develop products, drugs and treatments. It is hoped for an increased interest from the industry to cooperate. Professor Matti Sällberg, head of the pre GMP unit, talks more about how this can be helpful early in the development.

Flemingsberg Science Foundation has recently developed a new strategic direction with clear goals for the coming years. The focus of the plan is on co-ordinating and strengthening efforts to attract more companies to Flemingsberg.

Flemingsberg Science is an active part of Stockholm Life Tech. It develops new opportunities for collaboration and co-operation related to Flemingsberg’s research and innovation infrastructure.
Strong co-operation between the region’s innovation nodes
The innovation nodes in the Stockholm region are key platforms for collaboration that bridge gaps in innovation ecosystems. Additional resources are now needed to strengthen inter-nodal co-operation.
A life science co-working environment
A Working Lab (AWL) Innomedicum on Solna Campus is home to start-ups in life science, offering office space and lab facilities to new companies. We had the chance to speak to Åsa Johansson, newly appointed head of A Working Lab, Akademiska Hus, to find out more.

📣24 hours before my new adventure at Stanford University begins, and this is how we wrap up before I go. 🥳With huge news from Press Start Game Tech Hub.
A total of SEK 11.5 million is now being invested in the development of Press Start GameTech Hub, an initiative created to strengthen the GameTech sector in the Stockholm region.
The project is led by Flemingsberg Science Foundation and Södertörn University, and will run from September 2026 to 2029.
I could not be prouder of how far Press Start has come in such a short time.
I was given the honor and the mission to found Press Start, and seeing it grow from an idea into one of Europe’s fastest-growing GameTech hubs has been one of the most meaningful journeys of my career.
And now, we are taking the next step.
Press Start now also has a GameTech Node in Silicon Valley, creating new opportunities to build bridges between Stockholm, Sweden, and one of the world’s most influential innovation ecosystems.
All with one clear goal:
To strengthen, support, and create real opportunities for our GameTech community in Stockholm.
What a way to close this chapter before Stanford.
And what a beginning for everything that comes next. 🙌
