As a student, worker or resident in Flemingsberg you can now compete with your business idea. In a sub-competition to the national business plan competition Venture Cup, Flemingsberg Science rewards ideas that contribute to a better world. In addition to the prize money of SEK 5.000, the winner also gets a rent-free space for three months in Flemingsbergs Sciences' innovation environment.
"Flemingsberg is the place in the world you want to be if you work with NK cells. There is a strong research facility here with a world-leading research group and proximity to a clinic that really knows NK cells. We recently started the construction of a new GMP facility with an associated research laboratory of 350 square meters for our NK cell therapy. The new facility is being built at Novum in Flemingsberg and, once the facility is completed in 2022, it will give us complete control over the entire development chain."
On 1st November, Johnny Högberg will take over as Chief Executive Officer of the Flemingsberg Science Foundation.

The Södertörn Social Cup rewards early startups in social innovation with a focus on the UN's global sustainability goals. This year, first and second place went to the students behind Biosfär and Sparla respectively.
Biosfär took home first prize in the Södertörn Social Cup ideas contest, which rewards social innovations. The idea behind Biosfär is to give people in homes for the elderly and in nursing homes the opportunity to experience joint activities in virtual reality.
Sparla is the fintech – financial technology – app that will make your personal finances "financially fit". Recently, the service was awarded second prize in the Södertörn Social Cup. The service is now being developed to take the step from the student world to the general public.
On Hälsovägen, construction will soon start on 800 new homes, two preschools and premises. New walkways and squares will also be built here. A temporary diversion road has been built on Hälsovägen's central strip. The existing lane on the north side (from Huddingevägen in the direction of Flemingsberg's center) will be closed due to excavation work.
