South Korean Game Investors Visited Press Start Game Hub in Flemingsberg
A delegation of investors from some of South Korea’s leading game companies visited Press Start Game Hub in Flemingsberg yesterday, a growing hub for game innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe. The visit was part of an initiative organized by Business Sweden, aimed at strengthening ties between the Swedish and South Korean gaming industries.
The Flemingsberg Science Foundation welcomes Angela Hoyer as the new Networks and Event Manager
With a background as a researcher at Karolinska Institutet and experience from academia, industry, and networking, Angela Hoyer, the new Networks and Event Manager at the Flemingsberg Science Foundation, is passionate about developing the life science sector. In her new role, Angela looks forward to creating meeting places where collaborations can grow, while also contributing to Flemingsberg’s continued development as a strong international hub for research and innovation.
A national resource for tomorrow’s treatments – Karolinska ATMP Center is now inaugurated
With a clear message of hope for the future and a powerful spirit of collaboration, the Karolinska ATMP Center in Flemingsberg was inaugurated at the end of August. The center is a collaboration between Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital and will serve as a national resource for the production of advanced therapies (ATMPs), where research, clinical trials, and treatments work seamlessly together to deliver groundbreaking therapies to patients.
Meetings That Shape the Future: Flemingsberg Science at Almedalen
In June this year, the foundation took part in the annual Almedalen Week, the world’s largest democratic meeting place for everyone who wants to join the discussions on current societal issues. This year, we had a special focus on Life Science, an area and cluster that has long been a natural part of Flemingsberg, and which is now growing stronger than ever.

In the south of Stockholm you’ll find Flemingsberg, home to a vibrant life science cluster that’s rapidly emerging as an attractive location for life science companies. Here, academia, business and society form a dynamic ecosystem, fueling innovation and growth. And with more companies establishing and collaborations further deepening, the opportunity to expand and invest have never been greater. This year, we are therefore participating in NLSDays in Gothenburg, where we will showcase Flemingsberg's unique strengths and invite more stakeholders to become part of our thriving life science environment.
Novum – More Than a Place
The Park and the real estate company Hemsö have entered into a collaboration which means Novum Research Park in Flemingsberg will offer a first-class coworking environment for researchers, innovators, and creative minds who want to become part of a growing Life Science cluster. At the same time, the Flemingsberg Science Foundation is launching a film about Novum—playful and with a touch of drama.

🇬🇧 Flemingsberg is located in the southern part of the Stockholm metropolitan area. Until the late 1960s, it was a small locality with about 260 residents. From the late 1980s, and especially during the 1990s, major facilities began to appear — universities, a hospital, and a transport hub. In recent years, the area has been actively planned and developed. Today, Flemingsberg is home to a vibrant campus, a large research cluster, and an important medical and scientific center.
🇸🇪 Flemingsberg ligger i den södra delen av Stockholms storstadsområde. Fram till slutet av 1960-talet var det ett litet samhälle med omkring 260 invånare. Från slutet av 1980-talet, och särskilt under 1990-talet, började större anläggningar växa fram – utbildningsinstitutioner, ett sjukhus och en transportknutpunkt. Under de senaste åren har området planerats och utvecklats aktivt. Idag finns här ett campus med flera högre lärosäten, ett stort forskningskluster och ett betydelsefullt medicinskt och vetenskapligt centrum.
🇵🇱 Flemingsberg znajduje się w południowej części aglomeracji sztokholmskiej. Do końca lat 60. XX wieku była to mała miejscowość licząca około 260 mieszkańców. Od końca lat 80., a szczególnie w latach 90., zaczęły tu powstawać duże obiekty – uczelnie, szpital oraz węzeł transportowy. W ostatnich latach obszar ten jest intensywnie planowany i rozwijany. Dziś w Flemingsbergu znajduje się kampus z kilkoma uczelniami wyższymi, duży klaster badawczy oraz znaczące centrum medyczno-naukowe.
