2023 is coming to an end, and like many other organizations, we at the foundation are making plans and gearing up for 2024 while also aiming to end the year on a high note. We sense that the question of what's happening in Flemingsberg is taking on an increasingly positive tone.
The Flemingsberg Science Foundation announces today that Fabege is becoming an associate partner of the foundation. It marks the beginning of closer collaboration with private entities.
There are plans for 800 new student and researcher residences in Campus Flemingsberg. The construction project is strategically located in the heart of Flemingsberg, which is one of Stockholm's most prominent regional city centers.
In late November of this year, Stiftelsen Flemingsberg Science visited Skellefteå alongside Karolina Krön and Pia Forsberg from Huddinge Municipality for a two-day exploration. The days not only brought snow but also provided an opportunity to gain insights into Skellefteå's development since the establishment of Northvolt and its impacts on the city.
We are creating a shared value proposition for Flemingsberg in collaboration with Huddinge and Botkyrka municipalities, supported by Fabege, Hemsö, and the Clara Foundation. This joint initiative has been developed in consultation with the communication agency Gullers Grupp and is a result of the initiative from the Flemingsberg Science Foundation.
We have created a hub where we build upon Flemingsberg's strengths in education, research, and creativity. The co-working environment, Innovation Station, was initiated by us at the Flemingsberg Science Foundation in collaboration with Södertörn University and SH Innovation.
We at the Flemingsberg Science Foundation have launched a crucial development program this spring in 2023 to enhance collaboration opportunities between research infrastructures and SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) in Flemingsberg. This initiative is a collaborative effort with CIMED (Center for Innovative Medicine) and Karolinska Institutet.
