The foundation plays a vital role in promoting the visibility of this ecosystem, ensuring its continuous development and facilitating new establishments.

The Stockholm Life Tech project achieved its goal in the spring with a guide that makes it easier for more small and medium-sized companies to collaborate with the region’s research infrastructures. The guide has been billed as an important tool for strengthening life science entrepreneurship in the region.
Sinfonia Biotherapeutics uses the body's reparative proteins to develop effective treatments for nerve damage and chronic pain. The therapies are developed for the treatment of diseases such as sciatica, diabetic pain, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy and hearing loss.
During the spring, Flemingsberg Science approached Swedish Incubators and Science Parks (SISP) for help to further improve its development of Flemingsberg. SISP’s special peer review method shares knowledge and experiences between similar initiatives and organisations across the country.
We’ve hit the ground running for 2023. We continue to work on the strategic goal of making Flemingsberg the obvious choice for start-ups to locate in southern Stockholm with an internationally competitive innovation environment that offers testbeds for urban societal challenges.
Innovation hubs such as Flemingsberg Science make it easier to attract the knowledge and competences needed for the development of the sustainable city of the future. “The ability of hubs to rapidly identify needs and trends is crucial for the development of the Stockholm region. Flemingsberg Science strengthens the local ecosystem and contributes to businesses being able to conduct research, and develop and grow in the region, especially in life sciences,” says Anton Västberg, Development Director, Region Stockholm.
